Herbal Tea Recipes

There is need of herbal tea recipes to cure many health problems. The different types of teas are available in the market.  It is always good to drink the herbal tea for health benefit. This mixture of herbs can be wonderful to treat sore throat, stuffy nose and congestion in the chest, to fight the infection. Some herbs may be suggested to make tea from it.

Damiana Delight: A mixture of this herb with spearmint and orange zest will make a fine tea to taste.  It is good for getting relief from depression, and also calms nerve. It has aphrodisiac qualities. To make put one teaspoon of each chamomile, damiana leaves, lemongrass, spearmint leaves, lemongrass, spearmint leaves, 1/4 teaspoon of jasmine flowers,1/4 teaspoon of orange peel, grated. Mix these herbs in two cup of water and boil for 15 minutes. Serve the tea hot after straining out herbs.

Lavender Verbena Tea: It will be simple mixture of lemon verbena with adding a bit of lavender to make a excellent tea to get health relief as well.  Take one cup of Lemon Verbena Leaves and three tablespoons of lavender flowers mix them and put in a air tight container.  For a cup of tea take one tablespoon of mixture and put it in one cup of boiling water. After five minutes of boiling train out the leaves and serve hot with a dash of honey.

Peppermint Tea: It is very soothing and refreshing tea.  It is very good for upset stomach, nausea, colds and sore throat. Take around one cup of fresh leaves.  After crushing with fingers put the leaves in two cup of water and boil. Boil in low temperature for a minute then put the tea in a cup after staining out  leaves. Add some honey and lemon for a wonderful taste.

Rosemary Punch tea: A rosemary mixed with pineapple juice can make a punch flavored sparkling tea for the health benefits. Take two handfuls of dried rosemary and boil in two cups of water.  After boiling boil in low temperature for five minutes. Let it be cool and strain out leaves. Mix pineapple juice and add some ginger ale right  before serving.

Sage Tea: The blend of lemon and sage will give flavor of tasty tea and respiratory ailments will be cured by this tea. Take half oz of fresh saga leaves, one oz sugar, quarter oz grated lemon rind, juice of one lemon, and four cups of boiling water. Keep the water at simmer, after putting all the ingredients, wait for fifteen minutes and after straining out herbs serve the tea.

Tropical Herb Tea: The mixture of mint and lemongrass will be a fruity to taste and with health benefits also.  Take three tbs of  hibiscus flowers, three tbs of mint flowers, three tbs of lemon grass, half cup of chopped pineapple, two oranges sliced, one papaya and one mango sliced. In eight cup of water put all herbs and let them boil and let them steep for fifteen minutes.  After straining out herbs keep the tea in a large container, mix with fruits and refrigerate for overnight and serve chilled.

Anise Tea: It is made by just mixing anise in the water to get licorice flavor in this tea which is good for health as well. It is expectorant as well to give relief in cough. Steep anise herb in one cup of boiling water for  ten minutes. After straining out herb serve with punch of honey.

Catnip and Chamomile: It is prepared by making mixture of catnip, chamomile, lemon and other herbs and is good for health problems also. Take half cup of dried catnip, chamomile, one cup dried lemon balm,  and quarter cup dried mint and lemon grass. After mixing these herbs place this mixture in air tight container.  For making one cup of tea steep two tbs of herb for five minutes in boiling water and then serve after straining out herb.

Chamomile Chai Tea: Make a mixture of Chai with chamomile and other herbs to make fine tasty tea and which is good to cure respiratory problems also. For making teas take three tsp of coriander seeds, one pinch (0.3 mg) of  cinnamon, and cardamom, and half pinch of allspice,  mix every thing in water and simmer for ten minutes. Remove from heat and after straining out herbs add chamomile and serve hot.
